The Objectives were to reflect and enhance FourWinds’ image as Global Investment Professional, and main provider of Real Assets Investments in Natural resources & Commodities and Industries & Infrastructure. We were tasked to create a space that is deliberately innovative, exude class & style and to provide a benchmark for other branch offices across Asia to aspire to. To create an engaging journey through the space as well as an experience that imbued a timeless & elite look and feel.
Approach – Ambiance
The functional brief aside, the Client’s overall ambition for the space was to portray an elegant, robust and stable persona. This also had to gel seamlessly with the existing common areas (i.e.: lift lobby and toilets).
Warm and earthy tones for the space were adopted with a 5-star hotel like ambiance. We created a journey through to the management suite via a gallery wall which continued the mood from the reception area all the way into the boardroom and Chairman’s suite.
LEED Platinum
Apart from the M&E Engineering items (lights air conditioning etc.) we were very careful with our specification of materials. We needed to be mindful in our choice of finishes because of LEED platinum requirements and all material finishes were chosen from sustainable sources and sources within 500miles of the project site. Of particular note was the marble which was sourced from environmentally friendly quarries and the MTCC Certified timber for the built-in joinery. This had the additional benefit of giving a natural feel which we could not achieve with resorting to factory manufactured finishes. All carpets & fabrics were also from certified green sources.
