Our Interior Designer, Cecilia, tells us about her favorite artist:
“Banksy inspires me to look at the world from a different perspective and challenges my thoughts, views, perceptions and also beliefs. His art opens people’s minds to think further for every decision made and what are the effects to the other end of the spectrum. Banksy’s art also became a voice for marginalized people and issues. It has taught me to always think further than what I intend to and be aware of how my work leaves an impact on others.”

Our Creative Manager, @fakhryzackry, tells us about his favorite architect and designer:
“Zaha Hadid is an architect, artist and designer, recognised as a major figure in architecture of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. She was described as the "Queen of the curve", who "liberated architectural geometry, giving it a whole new expressive identity. Her highly expressive style, marked by organic, sweeping fluid forms of multiple perspective points, while initially criticised, is now regarded as a pioneer in contemporary avant-garde architecture styles. What inspires me is one of her quotes says " There are 360 degrees so why stick to one'', that opens me to this in the design world is nothing impossible. you have to explore with passion! ☺”
Our Interior Designer, Fahmi, tells us about how the Palestinians living in Gaza inspires him:
“Palestinians living in Gaza strive to live normal lives, even under the harshest of conditions. Their determination is very symbolic to me. They want to show the world that they refuse to be broken. It gives me a purpose to continue striving in this world, especially in this pandemic era. I've got no excuse but to excel in every level. I take lessons from their struggle, to rise from the ashes, push boundaries, and to fight for a better tomorrow. Not only for me, but creating a new generation and for a better world.”
Our Senior Designer Manager, Christine, shares with us her favorite design figure:
“I've been inspired by Architect Louis Kahn since my university days. The National Assembly Building of Bangladesh is the building that caught my attention. The design of the building has geometric shapes which give the visual impact. I love the way he plays with design and natural lighting, including his philosophy that well-designed buildings could influence and improve people’s lives.”
Adopting a digital workplace helps companies become more efficient by streamlining operations and helping teams operate at peak capacity. SW1 breaks down digital workplaces into three main categories focusing on operations, space and collaboration.
Steffi shares with us her favorite public figure that she looks up to:
“Daisaku Ikeda is a Japanese philosopher, writer, peace activist, and my mentor. Reading Mr. Ikeda’s works can always inspire me when facing the challenges of life, giving me hope and courage. With the uncertainty of the pandemic, I always keep in mind Mr. Ikeda’s encouragement “Winter always turns to spring”. As long as we hold on to hope, spring is sure to come!"
